Linux Migration from Windows or macOS
A move to Linux when it fits how you actually work — distro selection, data migration, and 30 days of follow-up support.
A considered switch to Linux instead of a weekend lost to forum threads. We talk through your use cases, choose a suitable distribution, and handle migration, setup, and the first weeks of support.
What’s included
- Consultation on your actual use cases (browsing, office, development, media library, games)
- Recommendation of a suitable distribution (Fedora, Ubuntu LTS, Pop!_OS, Linux Mint, Debian)
- Migration of your files, bookmarks, and email accounts
- Setup of the common apps (browser, mail client, LibreOffice, media player)
- Full-disk encryption (LUKS) and automatic backups
- Optional: dotfiles setup for power users (shell, editor, terminal)
- 30 days of follow-up support over email or Signal — for the small friction points that come up
Who it’s for
Individuals or freelancers who want to revive an older laptop, need a stable work machine for development or office use, or deliberately want to work with Linux. Also a good fit for family PCs and simple office setups.
What’s not included
No hardware resale — we migrate to your existing or supplied computer. Specialist software (Adobe Suite, certain Steam titles, industry-specific tools) is checked for Linux compatibility upfront. If something can’t migrate, we say so before the engagement starts.
